Hasan: Chief Minister K.M. Shivlingegowda directed officials to take necessary measures to hold the historic Sri Hasanamba Devi and Sri Siddeshwara Swami Jatra Festival with utmost grandeur and precision.

Speaking as the chairperson of the pre-event review meeting held today at the Hassan District Office conference hall, he suggested that the city should be decorated with an extremely attractive electric light display in the style of Mysore Dasara.

He also instructed that an attractive flower and fruit exhibition, dog show, goat fair, and exhibition be organized for a period of one (1) week at the Silver Jubilee Park in the city during the jatra period. He added that certificates and souvenirs should be given to all participants in the goat show, and cash prizes should be awarded to the best ones.

The minister directed that temporary toilets be constructed to facilitate devotees, and cleanliness should be maintained. Also, sanitation staff should be on duty for 24 hours on a shift basis.
